Written especially for the Ebony & Ivory CD Red Hot!, Red Hot contrasts a rhythmically complex opening with a country-flavoured B section. My favourite effect is in this second part, where the soprano sax melody soars over a busy piano accompaniment. On the CD, this tune was recorded with renowned jazz fusion drummer Dave Weckl.
